THE JOURNEY: STILL SUNSHINE IN THIS OL’ BODY
An improvised play with 18 Caribbean Elders from Nubian Life care provider about their experience of coming over to England during the Windrush Era. A story of dance, food, love, family, carnival, music, ludo, laughter, and challenges.
The performance involved music co-ordinated by Alex Da Great, poetry by Adisa the Verbaliser, drumming by Zaza, dancing and improvisation by Sheba Montserrat, and Andre Pink.
